The men’s and women’s cross country teams recently competed in the NCCAA cross country championships, held at Cedarville University. The men’s team was able to finish in 12th place, while the Lady Pilots claimed 16th place. Junior Harrison Fausey continued to lead the Pilots as he has done all season long and finished in 15th place overall. In addition, Fausey was also named an NCCAA All-American. Senior Drew Bishop was the second Pilot to finish for the Pilots in his last cross country race. Freshman Samuel Heckard had an excellent day as well as he finished fourth overall for Bethel with his second best time ever. Sophomore Trisha Miller led the Lady Pilots with a fourth place finish and achieved the NCCAA All-American honor for the second straight year. Sophomore Keri Lencke finished second for the Pilots with a time of 20:49. Senior Brittany Replogle finished third for the Lady Pilots and raced very well in her last cross country race as well. This concludes the men’s and women’s season; however, Miller will represent the women’s team as she travels to Vancouver, Washington, to compete in the NAIA Championship which will be held on November 20.
