The men’s and women’s cross country teams both traveled to Calvin College last Friday where they competed in a late chilly meet. The women were able to run very solid as they claimed 11th out of 16 teams and claimed seven personal best times. Meanwhile, the men were 19th out of 33 teams and were led by Harrison Fausey who now has two of the top five times in Bethel College history. Posting personal best times for the Lady Pilots included Keri Lencke, Ashley Baber, Christina Adams, Leah Schwartz, Stephanie Shively, and Charity Brown. In addition Trisha Miller continued to be a tough competitor as she placed ninth overall with a time of 18:23. On the men’s side, five runners claimed a personal best time which were Justin Nelson, Logan Kimmel, Adam Crawford, Christina Clark, and Tim Sipe. In addition to posting one of the best times in Bethel College history, Fausey led the team with a 39th place finish. Both teams will next be in action on October 7, when they host the Bethel College Invitational.
