Two big names in Christian music are coming to Bethel. Jars of Clay and Brandon Heath will do a concert on Oct. 12, 2010 at 7:30 p.m. in the Wiekamp Center. This concert was made possible by the Bethel Student Council and has been sponsored by Eric Oglesbee. A goal for the executive officers is to plan events for Bethel students. As they were looking for an event for the fall, they called different agents to see who was touring. Right at the time, Brandon Heath and Jars of Clay decided to do a tour for Jars of Clay's new album. This concert required a lot of work by many different people at Bethel. Webmaster Joshua Gulledge created a Web site for online ticket sales. Ed Bernhard from the Bethel College Bookstore helped with phone and walk-in ticket sales through the bookstore. The Marketing/Communications Department was in charge of web design work. Pulse FM is a cosponsor for this event. Lisa Greco (Special Events), Charlie Dixon (Maintenance), and Todd Lemons (Sound and Lighting) also helped make this possible. Many tickets are still available, according to the bookstore. General Admission is $14 ($18 dollars on the day of the concert), children 12 and under are $8 or $12 the day of the concert. The VIP package is $30. It  includes a question and answer session with the artists, reserved front row seating, and a signed poster. Group tickets, students at Bethel, and Bethel College Alumni are all $10 each.
