Bethel hosts free college fair

The 16th annual free college fair was hosted by Bethel this year in the Weikamp Center.The North American Coalition for Christian Admission Professionals (NACCAP) held the 16th annual free college fair for the South Bend/Mishawaka area on Thursday, Sept. 30. Bethel hosted the fair in the Weikamp Center from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Krista Wong, director of admission, said approximately 430 people attended the event. “We (saw)this as an opportunity to expose junior and senior high school students to what Christian College is all about,” said Wong. According to Bethel’s marketing and communication department, “Christian college representatives (were)able to answer questions and discuss options for those interested in a four-year institution.” There were also financial aid seminars that included information on how to make college affordable. “NACCAP sponsors over 100 Christian College fairs across North America,” said Wong. “It (was) a great opportunity for students to see what Christian higher education is all about.”
