The Lady Pilots Softball team was able to hand the Huntington Forrestors their first loss of the season; nevertheless, they surrendered game two by a low score of 1-0. In the first game, it was Bethel who was able to pitch a shutout as Giana Zimmerman went seven innings and gave up just two hits. Kaitlyn Dubois led the Lady Pilots at the plate in game one, going two for three with a double. In addition, Giana Zimmerman and Brookelyn Smith chipped in a hit and two RBI’s a piece. Katie Boocher pitched all seven innings in game two and gave up just one run; nevertheless, she was not able to receive any run support as the Lady Pilots were shut out for the second time this season. Katrina Klingberg was the only Lady Pilot with at least two hits on the afternoon. Klingberg also chipped in a stolen base. The Lady Pilots will travel to Indiana Wesleyan Thursday to take on the Wildcats where their double header is set to begin at 3:00 p.m.
