Both the Bethel men’s and women’s cross country teams traveled to Cedarville University on Nov. 12, to compete in the NCCAA National Championship. Runners for both teams recorded some of their best times in what was their last meet of the season. Nevertheless, Trisha Miller continued to have an extraordinary career for the Lady Pilots and qualified to represent Bethel College Nov. 19 in Vancouver, Washington, where the NAIA National Tournament will be held. Overall, Miller finished in fourth place and led the Lady Pilots to a team finish of 13th out of 25 teams. Others adding top times on the afternoon consisted of Keri Lencke, who tied her second best time finishing in 52nd place as well as Courtney Chapman and Brittney Fabris who finished 104th and 105th respectively. On the men’s side, it was once again Harrison Fausey leading the charge, taking 19th place overall. Adam Crawford finished 81st, Logan Kimmel came in 88th, and David Foura collected a 91st finish which contributed to the men’s team taking 12th out of 30 teams. Miller will have a week of preparation before traveling to Vancouver to compete in the NAIA Championship meet. Nevertheless, this is not the first time Miller has qualified this meet and will look to use her experience to race as strong as possible.
