There was one report of unauthorized use of the Academic Building. This occurred on April 5, but no further information has been provided. Another report of a suspicious activity or person took place on April  6.

There were two separate reports that need further classification. One of them occurred in Oakwood-Slater Hall on April 8. The other occurred in the Dining Commons, and also took place on April 8. No further information has been provided as to what happened.

Paul Neel, Director of Campus Safety, has a few words of advice for students, “There are a few important things students should remember if they are using a rideshare service (Uber, Lyft, etc.):

  • Verify the license plate, make and model of the vehicle picking you up matches what is in your app.
  • Ask the driver, ‘What’s my name?’ If they do not know, Do Not get in.
  • Be aware of your surroundings as you wait for your ride.”
