Cam­pus Ac­tiv­i­ties Brings New Events to Cam­pus

MISHAWAKA — Bethel Uni­ver­sity stu­dents might be won­der­ing who all is re­spon­si­ble for the plethora of ex­cit­ing ac­tiv­i­ties around cam­pus. Stu­dent En­gage­ment Co­or­di­na­tor, An­nelotte Letens, plans and over­sees all the events around cam­pus. 

Letens helped plan a Putt-Putt Night. More than 100 Bethel stu­dents turned up to min­gle and have fun play­ing at Mishawaka’s Putt-Putt Fun Cen­ter. 

Cam­pus Ac­tiv­i­ties is plan­ning sev­eral ac­tiv­i­ties in early Oc­to­ber in­clud­ing a scav­enger hunt, a cre­ative writ­ing fea­ture and a British Bak­ing Show: Mi­crowave Edi­tion, she said.

The scav­enger hunt will take place from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. around cam­pus The scav­enger hunt will take place from 8 to 10 p.m. around cam­pus on Fri­day, Oct. 4, and will fea­ture a se­lec­tion of prizes for the win­ning stu­dents. The cre­ative writ­ing fea­ture will be at Suf­fi­cient Grounds from 7 to 8 p.m. on Sun­day, Oct. 6. The British Bak­ing Show: Mi­crowave Edi­tion is sched­uled for Fri­day, Oct. 18, in the Kelly Au­di­to­rium.

For those on cam­pus hav­ing trou­ble find­ing a rea­son to at­tend these ex­cit­ing and nu­mer­ous events, Letens has an in­vi­ta­tion for you. 

“Just come to meet peo­ple," Letens said. “[Any ac­tiv­ity] gets you out of your room … let’s do some­thing and not just sit around. It’s a great break from home­work, and it’s a great place to, like, meet peo­ple from, you know, dif­fer­ent tracks than where you’re at.”
