 -  -  290

MISHWAKA- Every month, Best of Bethel Talks (BOB Talks) highlight and honor various departments around Bethel’s campus; friends of Bethel, community partners, professors, students that represent that specific department, and even potential students are all invited to attend.

BOB Talks was launched by Vice President of Institutional Advancement Matt Lentsch in the fall semester of 2019, when Clarence Gilyard guest-directed a play, thereby highlighting the theatre department.

“It is to highlight segments of Bethel in small portions, so it’s intimate and purposeful,” Jenny Wertenberger said. “It’s a great way to bring community onto campus to see what we are doing... they are very impactful.”

Wertenberger is a business development representative in the Office of Institutional Advancement and is involved in the planning of each BOB Talk. The Office of Institutional Advancement plans to eventually highlight every department. According to Wertenberger, the BOB Talks this semester will be luncheons in February and March highlighting the nursing department and education department; there will be a break in April for the annual Give Back Gala.
