Up­com­ing Ath­let­ics

MISHAWKA—As the school year is wind­ing down so are Bethel Ath­let­ics. Re­cently, Jody Mar­tinez, a Bethel grad­u­ate and cur­rent Tay­lor Uni­ver­sity wom­en’s bas­ket­ball coach, has been named Coach of the Year. For­mer men’s bas­ket­ball head coach Homer Drew has been se­lected for the Na­tional Col­le­giate Bas­ket­ball Hall of Fame.

The Bethel wom­en’s lacrosse team has fin­ished their sea­son. Wom­en’s golf is par­tic­i­pat­ing in their Cross­roads League Cham­pi­onship on April 22. Base­ball and Soft­ball are still in full swing. The Base­ball team’s next game is April 22. Soft­ball just hosted their strike out can­cer games and their next match is­n’t un­til April 23.

Track and Field was rained out this past week, but their next meet is April 27 and then they move on to their tour­na­ment meets. Men’s ten­nis plays their fi­nal match on April 30. Wom­en’s ten­nis reg­u­lar sea­son is over, and they are be­gin­ning to move into tour­na­ment play on May 6.
