Jazz Tour

The Jazz Ensemble visited Ottawa, OH and Grabill, IN this past weekend during their tour. They left early Friday morning and returned Sunday afternoon. In that time, the ensemble played five concerts - one at Ottawa Glandorf High School and one at New Creation Lutheran Church in Ottawa, OH and three at Grabill Missionary Church in Grabill, IN. As student advisers for the trip, senior Peter Metzger and sophomore Katie Ratering helped Dr. Reg Klopfeinstein organize the trip, providing feedback from a student's perspective about the details of the tour. Dr. Klopfenstein thought the tour went very well. "I was so pleased with this year's tour," said Klopfenstein. "To see the response of our audiences, in a high school, in evening concerts, and in Sunday morning church services, was very gratifying. The jazz band members seemed to really enjoy the ministry and fellowship of the tour. It's indeed a privilege and joy to be their director."
