The Bethel College men’s basketball team advanced to the second round of the MCC Tournament by winning its opening round game against Marian Wednesday night.
The No. 2 seeded Pilots beat the No. 7 seeded Knights 89-57 at the Weikamp Athletic Center. Senior Tony Benford led the Pilots with 14 points and 9 rebounds, while senior Tyler Brown chipped in with 13 points and 9 boards. The Pilots will play Spring Arbor in the semi-finals Saturday, Feb 27. That game will also take place at the Weikamp Athlectic Center, beginning at 3 p.m.
