Students discover “Crazy Love”

 -  -  25

"Crazy Love" by Francis Chan is the book being used for The Lodge residents' Bible study.
“Crazy Love,” a devotional book by Francis Chan, targets the way Christians live today, and attempts to convince Christians to challenge themselves daily. “This book is written for those who want more Jesus,” said Chan in a book review done by Tim Challies. “It is for those who are bored with what American Christianity offers. It is for those who don’t want to plateau, who would rather die before their convictions do.” This semester, girls in The Lodge have the opportunity to participate in a “Crazy Love” Bible study, run by Collin Zilch, who is an RA on the first floor. Every Monday, from 9-10 p.m., any girls who are living in The Lodge are invited to join this Bible study. It is held in the conference room on the first floor of The Lodge. While the books have not yet arrived, this did not stop the girls from having their first meeting last Monday. “Since the books have not come in yet we have been reading some of the book together,” said Zilch. “There are also some online videos that we watched and discussed that correspond with the book.” She explained that after they read the book together and watched the videos, they prayed for each other in closing. Once the books have arrived, they will read a chapter a week, and discuss that chapter the next time they meet. Any of The Lodge residents who are interested in joining the Bible study should contact Zilch in order to find out the details for ordering their own copy of “Crazy Love.”
