After a successful fall season, the men’s golf team competed in the NCCAA Tournament held in Panama City, Florida, where the Pilots took 13th place. Overall, the Pilots did not feel like they shot at a level they were capable of; nevertheless, there were some very notable individual performances. Brady Klotz shot a 226 over the three rounds which earned him 8th place and put him on the NCCAA All-American team. Greg Lebold finished second for the Pilots with a 248, while Spencer Pannabecker shot a 250. The Pilots did battle a couple of injuries and illnesses while competing down in Florida but they battled it out to achieve the 13th place finish. “We had quite the so-so fall,” explained junior Jon Enfield. “Brady Klotz made All-American honors at NCCAA’s while Eric Carnacchi made Academic All-American honors.” Enfield is looking forward to strengthening over the off-season and has a good feeling about how the team will compete in the spring. “We have a fully capable team to surprise a lot of people with a dominating squad,” Enfield said. Overall, Enfield believes that the team did a lot of things well this season but needs to improve in some areas in order to reach their potential in the spring season.
