The men’s golf team finished in fourth place out of 13 teams earlier this week at the University of Saint Francis Invitational held at Noblehawk and Cobblestone Golf Courses. It was an extremely tight finish as the Pilots were only a few strokes away from taking home the title. Gregg Lebold led the way for Bethel with two 73’s, while Brady Klotz chipped in a 76-71 performance. The team also received contributions from freshman Drew Day who shot a 76-78 in his first collegiate tournament. Spencer Pannabecker and John Enfield also played well for the Pilots. Overall, the Pilots have proven that they will be a very deep team this year as four of the other freshmen were able to score under a tournament total of 156. These golfers included Brian Urich, Tim Langolf, Miles Kritzman, and Taran Kennedy. The men’s team will next compete on September 7, as they travel to Hammond, Indiana to play in an 18 hole event hosted by Calumet College.
