The men’s golf team took fourth place last weekend out of 16 teams in their own Battle at Blackthorn. Despite shooting a rare and disappointing 80 on Friday, Brady Klotz was able to make up a lot of ground on Saturday as he shot a three under par 69 to lead the Pilots. In addition it was Jon Enfield who led Bethel after day one as he stroked an even par 72 but was unable to keep the momentum on day two, shooting an 80. Brian Ulrich continued to be a valuable newcomer to the team, showing off his consistency with a 78-75-153. Right behind Ulrich was Gregg Lebold and Drew Day who each shot a 154. The Pilots second team also had a very impressive weekend as they took ninth place overall. Leading the second team was Tim Langolf, Spencer Pannabecker, Taran Kennedy, and Scott Helper. The Pilots will travel to Olivet Nazarene next Friday and Saturday as they prepare for the upcoming NCCAA National Tournament which will again be hosted in Panama City, Florida.
