The 2016-2017 Bethel College student council executive cabinet has officially been chosen. The offices of president and vice president were decided after a run-off election took place on March 30. Students were able to cast their votes for the two offices online via the school’s internal website, my.bethelcollege.edu.  The ballots were open from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. on the day of the run-off election. For the office of president, junior Benji Andrews edged out his lone opponent sophomore Jacob Baylis.  Andrews received 130 votes compared to Baylis’ 120.  As for the vice presidential race, freshman Asia Dennard was declared the victor.  Dennard captured 119 votes, while her competitor, freshman Justin Hueni, provided a close matchup, but in the end received a final total of 104 votes. Andrews and Dennard will begin their roles as president and vice president, respectively, alongside the newly elected treasurer, junior Adria Russo, and secretary Amy Roth, who is a sophomore.
