MISHAWAKA— On Monday, January 21st Bethel College’s Concert Choir performed at the Morris Performing Arts Center for the Martin Luther King Junior Day Celebration. According to the South Bend Tribune, “This year, the Bethel College Concert Choir joins the South Bend Symphonic Choir, the IUSB Chorale and Chamber Singers, and the IUSB Gospel Choir as the featured vocalists. Cellist Levi Powe, the 2018 first place Junior Division Winner of the Sphinx Competition, serves as guest soloist for the third movement of Saint-Saëns’ Cello Concerto.” The celebration took about 2 hours and also included a presentation from the History Museum involving South Bend’s connections to Martin Luther King Jr and the civil rights movement.
