Bethel Col­lege Starts Sup­port Group

MISHAWAKA—On Wednes­day, Jan­u­ary 23rd, Bethel Col­lege in­tro­duces a new club on cam­pus. Over­com­ing Anx­i­ety and Re­duc­ing Stress (OARS) is a sup­port group that is spon­sored by the Bethel Col­lege Well­ness Cen­ter and of­fers a safe and sup­port­ive group at­mos­phere for all stu­dents. OARS – ac­cord­ing to its in­for­ma­tive flyer – has three goals for stu­dents to learn: “that they are not alone in ex­pe­ri­enc­ing anx­i­ety; Ef­fec­tive strate­gies for com­bat­ing anx­i­ety daily; and how to make re­al­is­tic life-style changes that will re­duce anx­i­ety.” OARS meets on Wednes­days from 3:30-5:00 P.M. in the Suf­fi­cient Grounds con­fer­ence room and it will run for 6 weeks. Don’t worry that you’ve missed the first ses­sion, the Well­ness Cen­ter points out that you can jump in to this club at any time!
