Paul Neel, Director of Campus Safety, has a few words of advice for students, “There are a few important things students should remember if they are using a rideshare service (Uber, Lyft, etc.):
- Verify the license plate, make and model of the vehicle picking you up matches what is in your app.
- Ask the driver, ‘What’s my name?’ If they do not know, Do Not get in.
- Be aware of your surroundings as you wait for your ride.”
