MISHAWKA—As the school year is winding down so are Bethel Athletics. Recently, Jody Martinez, a Bethel graduate and current Taylor University women’s basketball coach, has been named Coach of the Year. Former men’s basketball head coach Homer Drew has been selected for the National Collegiate Basketball Hall of Fame.
The Bethel women’s lacrosse team has finished their season. Women’s golf is participating in their Crossroads League Championship on April 22. Baseball and Softball are still in full swing. The Baseball team’s next game is April 22. Softball just hosted their strike out cancer games and their next match isn’t until April 23.
Track and Field was rained out this past week, but their next meet is April 27 and then they move on to their tournament meets. Men’s tennis plays their final match on April 30. Women’s tennis regular season is over, and they are beginning to move into tournament play on May 6.
