MISHAWAKA- Barbara K. Bellefeuille, Ed.D., interim president, wanted to celebrate the birth of Jesus by lighting up campus with a nativity and light trees. There was a tree lighting celebration on Monday, Nov. 29. Students and faculty gathered by the pond to sing Christmas songs, drink hot chocolate, eat cookies, and countdown to the lighting of the trees.
Bellefeuille hopes that the lights and celebration gave students a lift as they headed into their last two weeks of the semester.
“I hope this gives them something to smile about, but actually - it’s all about celebrating our Savior!” Bellefeuille said.
