Bethel University hosts spring concert

 -  -  78

MISHAWAKA- It is once again time for the annual spring concert from Bethel University’s music department. This spring concert will include performances by the Bethel concert choir, choral union and chamber orchestra, with performances by soloists Emily McAndrew, JungGeun Kwon and Jacob Kisor.

According to Becky Branch, the administrative assistant in the music department, the Bethel University Choral Union is a group of people who are not part of the Bethel community, such as high school students or students from other colleges. This group joins Bethel for a few concerts during the year.

The spring concert will take place on April 8 at 7:30 p.m. in the Everest-Rohrer auditorium. Tickets are free for Bethel students. According to Branch, allowing Bethel Students free admission to these concerts is new this school year and has increased student attendance. Branch said they wanted to allow students to come and support their peers in the music department in the same way they support athletes. Bethel Students are welcomed and encouraged to come out and support their peers at this spring concert.
