 -  -  84

MISHAWAKA–BU Psych club events for the month of November include a service opportunity, a fundraising event and the annual murder mystery party.

On Nov. 12, the club will be meeting at 9:30 a.m. by the Academic Center parking lot entrance to carpool for volunteer work at Feed the Children from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m., followed by a lunch sponsored by the club’s faculty advisor, Norm Spivey, Ph.D. If anyone wishes to drive themselves, the address for the organization is: 22365 Elkhart E. Blvd., Elkhart, IN, 46514.

Unlike previous years, Feed the Children has implemented a new digital system for tracking volunteers that requires students to sign-up ahead of time, which can be done at feedthechildren.volunteerhub.com.

On Nov. 14, the club will have a fundraiser at the Hacienda on Grape Rd. For every purchase made that Monday by customers who present BU Psych Club tokens, 20% of the proceeds will go toward the club’s funding. Tokens are required for purchases to benefit the club and can be obtained from any of the club’s officers: Nathaniel Hubley, Natalie Roth, Alexandria Wiesman, Chloe Sharp, Grace Beasley and Brianna Densmore. Tokens can also be obtained from Spivey. Anyone from the Bethel and Michiana community is welcome to participate.

On Nov. 19, the annual murder mystery party will take place in the Bowen Library, beginning with dinner at 6:30 p.m. RSVPs for this event are due no later than Nov. 12 so that attendees can be assigned their roles for the evening.
