The Lady Pilots’ basketball team has now stretched their winning streak to three since dropping a tough season opener to IUSB. Recently, Bethel traveled to Berea, Kentucky, where they went 2-0 at the Berea College Tip-Off Classic. The Lady Pilots opened up play against Calumet College, who they soared pass by a score of 90-62. Next, they took on the host, Berea College, who they downed by a score of 64-53. The Lady Pilots looked very solid against Berea as they were able to come out and claim a 36-24 lead at half time. From there, Bethel was able to come up with 25 points off the bench to keep Berea a comfortable distance away. Overall, junior Mandy Yoder was the leading scorer for Bethel with 12 points, while Senior Bekah Basinger contributed a double-double with 10 points and 11 rebounds. The Lady Pilots will next take on Aquinas College at home on Monday, November 8. The starting time for that game will be 7:00 p.m.
