The Lady Pilots basketball team traveled to Indiana University Northwest last Saturday and fell by a score of 69-63. This was the women’s seventh straight game away from Wiekamp and have now lost four out of the last five. The Lady Pilots continued to dominate in the first half as they have done all season and led at halftime by a score of 39-24. However, it has been the second half that has doomed the team all season as they were heavily outscored and outrebounded by IU Northwest. Despite shooting well in the first half, Bethel was held to shooting just 26% in the second half. Senior Heather Seyfred continued to lead the Lady Pilots in scoring with 22 points, while senior Mandy Yoder chipped in 15. Senior Bekah Basinger also added 11 points. As a result to yet another disappointing loss in which the Lady Pilots have given up a first half lead, they are now 7-5 overall and remain 1-2 in the conference.
