27 As we registered for classes here at Bethel College, we sat and smiled for the camera as our photo was taken for our student I.D. card. With this card students that are living on campus can gain access to almost any building. An abundance of food no more than a swipe away and our attendance at Chapel is counted by scanning the barcode across the bottom of that card. But how many of you are aware of the off campus benefits we receive because of that card? Benefits that involve getting free and discounted goods at numerous places just outside of campus, most of which are within walking distance. According to a Bethel College, there are 15 local businesses that give students a discount. Getting these free or discounted items is as simple as showing your I.D. card at the cash register at the time of check out. Local businesses that provide discounts: 1. AMF Bowling Lanes: $1.75 per game & $3.00 shoe rental 2. Chick-Fil-A: Buy-one Get-one Free Chicken Sandwiches on Wednesdays from 5-10 pm 3. Dairy Queen: 10% off any purchase 4. Dunham’s Sporting Goods: 15% off all non-sale items 5. Fazoli’s: Free Lemon-Ice Drink with any purchase 6. Fun-Tan: Special Package Rates for College Students 7. Goodyear Tire and Service: 10% off any purchase 8. Mancino’s: 10% off any purchase 9. Malibu Tanning: One Free Week of Tanning-Setup fee waived for V.I.P. packages 10. Ritters Ice Cream: 25% off any purchase 11. Sam’s Club: Receive a Collegiate Membership for $40 which includes a $15 in-store gift card, and 25 free photo prints 12. Taco Bell: Receive a free small soft drink with any purchase 13. Taste of Asia: 10% off any purchase 14. Tippecanoe Place: Receive 2 Sunday Buffet meals for $19.99 15.
