Despite falling short in their opening two matches, the Pilot soccer team gathered themselves and destroyed their competition in the first two home games over Labor Day weekend. The Pilots defeated Trinity Christian College 7-0 and Midland Lutheran College by a score of 4-0 which improves their record to 2-2. The team defeated Trinity by putting up a total of five goals in the first half and pouring two more in the second. Senior Zach Ganzberg led the team by netting two goals in the first half. Others scoring goals in the home opener included Martin Ruiz, Ryan Needs, Romolo Nobrega, Rafael Borges, and Drew Carpenter. The Pilots also had no problem shutting out Midland Lutheran. Nobrega got things going with an early goal in the first half and they never looked back.
