Men’s Soc­cer Sea­son Ends

MISHAWAKA—This past week­end, the men’s soc­cer sea­son ended with a loss in the NAIA Cham­pi­onships at the hands of the No. 7 team in the na­tion, Mis­souri Val­ley Col­lege, 2-0. The Pi­lots fin­ished the sea­son 16-5-2, with a reg­u­lar sea­son Cross­roads League cham­pi­onship, and a post­sea­son Cross­roads League cham­pi­onship.

The open­ing round of the NAIA Cham­pi­onships was hosted in Mar­shall, Mo., and the Pi­lots faced off against No. 12 William Carey Uni­ver­sity and won 2-0, with goals from Matheus San­ti­ago and Naieem Bean, be­fore the round two loss to Mis­souri Val­ley Col­lege. In the Pi­lots' games at the NAIA Cham­pi­onships, they played a half var­sity and half ju­nior var­sity team.
