Last Saturday the Lady Pilot basketball team traveled to Indiana Wesleyan where they fell to the Wildcats by a score of 80-64. After executing well and competing closely the entire first half, Bethel was unable to hang with the impressive sixth ranked wildcats. This was the Lady Pilots’ fifth straight game on the road and they are now 1-2 in the conference and 7-4 overall. Mandy Yoder stepped up well for the team, putting up 20 points, five assists, and over 38 minutes of playing time. Heather Seyfred also competed well as she put up 11 points, while Baysia Cox chipped in six. As a team, the Lady Pilots were 21-26 from the free-throw line, 5-18 from the three point line, and created seven steals. The Lady Pilots will not be competing in the MCC again until Jan. 4. Their next game will be on Dec. 11, when they travel to take on Indiana University Northwest in Gary, Indiana. They will also take on Holy Cross College and Indiana Tech before traveling to Florida to compete in the Northwood University Classic on Dec. 29 and 30.
