The men’s baseball team upped their winning streak to five games on Thursday as they squeaked by Concordia University and claimed another sweep. The Pilots came from behind in the first game and used a late rally to defeat Concordia 7-6, while they were able to win by a score of 5-2 in the second game.

The late rally in the first game came in the fifth inning when Drew Eads and Garrett Curless were able to each hit a homerun as Brandon Robbins was able to smack in a run with an RBI double. Jerrod Long and Lance Schrock pitched a combined four innings before Dan Halley was able to come in and claim the victory. Shane Fye was also credited with another save. JJ Dubois started the second game on the mound and was given early run support thanks to a four run second inning. As a result, Dubois was able to go five innings, giving up just two runs. Robbins and Kyle Ravella each performed well at the plate with a pair of RBI’s. The Pilots will next be in action on Tuesday, when they take on Sienna Hights. The game will be played at home and the double header is set to begin at 1:00 p.m.
