Last weekend the Pilot men’s soccer team ran up against a very talented 7th ranked Cougars from Azusa Pacific. It was a physical 90 minute battle, but the Pilots were overcome by the Cougars 3-0. The Pilot defense led by Goalkeeper Cody Troyer played brilliantly in the first half, reaching a 0-0 halftime. Nevertheless, Azusa Pacific outshot Bethel 8-4 in the second half, putting three in the back of the net. With the lack of possession of the ball late in the second half, there was little hope of the Pilots striking back. Due to the difficult schedule the Pilots have had the last couple of weeks, they are now 3-3 and gearing up for MCC play. The Pilots will be in action again this Tuesday at home as they host Madonna University at 7:00 p.m. This will be the last non-conference game before Bethel begins their MCC schedule.
