Nicole Steller scored her tenth goal of the season as the Bethel women's soccer team defeated Illinois Tech 3-2 for their third consecutive home win on Saturday. A strong first half showing greatly helped the Pilots on Saturday, with Steller scoring her 9th and 10th goals of the season early in the game. This is an especially impressive feat considering the team has only played six games this year. The Pilots led 2-0 at the half, but the Red Hawks came back to tie the game at 2-2 in the 67th minute of the game. The Pilots seemed blindsided by the sudden change in momentum, but they wouldn't be stunned for long. A few minutes later, Meagan McPherson scored the game-winner off of the right goal post and Illinois Tech never recovered. The women's soccer team is now 3-0 at home and 4-2 on the season. Their next game is this Wednesday, September 19th, against nationally ranked Siena Heights.
