The finalist for the next president of Bethel College will be on campus Friday, April 5 and Saturday, April 6. Dr. Gregg Chenoweth, PhD, currently Vice President for Academic Affairs at Olivet Nazarene University, has become the Bethel College Search Committee's recommended candidate to become Bethel's ninth president. Chenoweth and his wife Tammy will visit the campus the next couple of days. According to an email from Bethel Board of Trustee Chair Brian Hamil and Presidential Search Committee Chair Dr. Richard Felix Chenoweth still needs approval from Bethel's Board of Trustees and the General Oversight Counsel of the Missionary Church before he is officially named the new president. He will meet with Bethel's Board of Trustees on Saturday, April 6. If approved by the board he will then face a final vote from the General Oversight Counsel of the Missionary Church on Monday, April 8. The Beacon will keep you updated on any new developments in the search for the school's new president.
