MISHAWAKA—On Wednesday, January 23rd, Bethel College introduces a new club on campus. Overcoming Anxiety and Reducing Stress (OARS) is a support group that is sponsored by the Bethel College Wellness Center and offers a safe and supportive group atmosphere for all students. OARS – according to its informative flyer – has three goals for students to learn: “that they are not alone in experiencing anxiety; Effective strategies for combating anxiety daily; and how to make realistic life-style changes that will reduce anxiety.” OARS meets on Wednesdays from 3:30-5:00 P.M. in the Sufficient Grounds conference room and it will run for 6 weeks. Don’t worry that you’ve missed the first session, the Wellness Center points out that you can jump in to this club at any time!
