MISHAWAKA- This week’s Player of the Week is Kelsey Brickner who recently reached her 1000-point milestone in basketball.
Brickner is a Junior Exercise Science major, intentional with her choice to come to Bethel.
Brickner says, “I came to Bethel because I wanted to be in a Christ-centered environment and be surrounded by people who reflected Jesus and I wanted to continue playing basketball.”
Brickner is from Goshen, IN., and started playing basketball in the 2nd grade. She played at Northridge High School and says her favorite memory of her career is from when she was in high school and won Basketball Regionals for the first time in her school’s history, then advanced to semi-state, where they lost to the state champions.
Just like the star-athlete enjoyed her time in high school, she continues to enjoy her time at Bethel.
“It’s special to be a part of a program where all of my teammates and I are friends on an off the court,” says Brickner.
