Bethel Base­ball Com­petes in Cen­tral Florida In­vi­ta­tional

MISHAWAKA – Over spring break, the Bethel Pi­lots base­ball team trav­eled to Florida to com­pete in the Cen­tral Florida In­vi­ta­tional. The over­all trip record was 4-3, los­ing to Grace in a tough game to come back and sweep them in a dou­ble­header, leav­ing Florida by tak­ing the se­ries.  

“I think our team showed great fo­cus and re­silience as we went through our week be­gin­ning to end; we found out a lot about our team dy­namic and what we needed to do to keep every­one fo­cused on the job at hand,” Seth Zart­man, Bethel Pi­lots head base­ball coach, said. “We were able to come back from some dis­ap­point­ing losses and show what we could do by get­ting a few vic­to­ries the next day af­ter those losses. Over­all, it was a great trip to set up the rest of our sea­son back home. Un­for­tu­nately, we will never know how the sea­son would’ve played out.”
