Campus Safety Update

MISHAWAKA—As students returned to campus, the Bethel Campus Safety Department reported higher volumes of activity.

One of the reported incidents occurred on the evening of August 24 and involved two males in a red truck. In an email sent out to campus, Paul Neel, the director of Campus Safety, wrote that the males walked up to students and asked for the students to get in the truck.

The two males indicated they needed to get to the gas station and falsely claimed they left their children with Campus Safety so they could get help. The students declined the request and contacted Campus Safety.

If anyone has any further information about the incident or recognizes the picture of the truck attached to the email, they should contact the Campus Safety office at 574-807-7500. They can also email campussafety@betheluniversity.edu.
