MISHAWAKA- This week Bethel University is hosting their annual Go Conference. According to Shawn Holtgren, Vice President of Student Development, the purpose of this conference is to encourage Bethel students to be involved in missions work.

There are several events happening during the week of the Go Conference. In addition to the Monday and Friday chapels, there is also a Wednesday chapel. The three chapel services are each focused on different areas of missions. The areas are local missions, missions in a place you might not want to go, and world missions.

There will also be meals both in the dining commons and hosted by different faculty members to give students an introduction to food from other parts of the world. Holtgren said that the dinners being hosted by faculty are being funded by World Partners.

Bethel University has been hosting the Go Conference since the late 90's according to Holtgren. The goal of the conference is to show students that they can be involved in the mission field in a larger variety of ways than what they typically think of missions.
