Last Saturday, the women’s basketball team used great offensive execution to pound Indiana University Northwest by a score of 90-67. The Lady Pilots were led by their experienced leaders who they have looked to throughout the course of this season. Heather Seyfred totaled 26 points, while Mandy Yoder contributed 23 points and four rebounds. Bekah Basinger also contributed to the great night as she chipped in 13 points in just 18 minutes on the court. Alyssa Toupin and Kristen Hicks also had great games off the bench for the Lady Pilots as Toupin scored 10 points and eight rebounds, while Hicks put up seven points on the afternoon. This was a key victory for the Lady Pilots as they took a brief break from their conference schedule to take on a non-MCC opponent. Bethel was also going into this game having lost a tough game a few nights prior to the Marian Knights. The Lady Pilots will now close out the season with nine conference games remaining. Their next game is scheduled to take place this Wednesday, as they travel to Upland, Indiana to take on the Taylor Trojans at 7:00 p.m. Bethel is currently 4-3 in the MCC and 12-7 overall, while Taylor is 3-4 in the MCC and 12-9 overall.
