After losing a tough, hard fought battle last weekend the women’s basketball team was able to claim their first win of the season as they destroyed Saint Frances of Illinois 91-66. The Pilots were able to execute their offense very well and reveal their experience against the visiting Saints. Senior Heather Seyfred had an impressive night and could not be touched. She was able to gather 21 points in the first half, and put up an additional 10 in the second. Sophomore Baysia Cox nearly had a double-double as she earned 12 points and grabbed eight rebounds. Senior Bekah Basinger led the Lady Pilots off the bench with 14 points as well. The Lady Pilots will look to continue to utilize their experience and talented offense as they head to Barea, Kentucky to compete in the Barea College Classic beginning Friday November 5. The Pilots will first play Calumet College at 6:00 p.m.
