Despite dropping their opening conference game last week with a devastating one point loss to Saint Francis on the road, the Lady Pilot basketball team was able to travel to Grace and pick up a strong come-from-behind victory. Bethel fell behind early to the Lancers and found themselves down by a score of 44-37; nevertheless, they persevered and came out on top with a 74-69 win. Lindsay Rich led the way for the Lady Pilots putting up 14 points and gathered four rebounds. Heather Seyfred continued to be a strong leader for the team as she did not come out the entire night and put up 13 points. Bekah Basinger also had a notable night as she scored 11 points and led the team with six rebounds. Sarah Clark was a big lift for Bethel as she came up with 10 points off the bench with only fifteen minutes on the floor. The Lady Pilots will take this confidence and hope to collect another conference win this Saturday as they travel to Indiana Wesleyan to take on the Wildcats at 1:00 p.m. If the team can manage to collect a victory, they will attain a conference record 2-1 after opening up with their first three games on the road in difficult environments.
