MISHAWAKA – Looking for something to add to your campus activities? Bethel College’s 12th annual juried student art exhibition begins Friday, February 15th, 2019. The opening reception will occur at 11am right after chapel at the Weaver Gallery in the Everest Rohrer Auditorium. This year, the reception is slated to have plenty of coffee, tea, and other snacks to refresh visitors during the opening.
“Although the student show features mostly art majors, it is nearly half non-art majors. It features sculptural work, ceramics, plus photography, digital artwork and traditional drawing and painting,” said Professor Michael May, the Chair of the Art Department. “Enrolling in an art class is the easiest way to get into the exhibition. Otherwise, students can look for the call for entries which is posted late November or early December. The art faculty are always happy to help prepare your work for entry into the student show. We love to feature work by all Bethel students, not just art majors. If you make something that doesn’t fit easily into one of our categories, we will happily help you out.”
