44MISHAWAKA--The theatre department will be putting on Disney’s “Beauty and the Beast” this spring, directed by Don Hunter, assistant professor of theatre and chair of the department.
“With a large production there are countless hours of preparation,” said Grace Cole, administrative assistant to the theatre department.
Auditions will be held earlier this year than is typical for the spring musical due to it being a larger production. Auditions will be held Sept. 16, in FA111, at 7pm.
According to Cole, the earlier audition will allow time for actors to learn their roles and for costumes to be made.
Many hands make these productions possible, and the designers and production teams are working together already to ensure a smooth production. The performances will take place the weekends of March 25 and April 1.
