MISHAWAKA—The Wellness Program is hosting this weekend as an opportunity for engaged, married, or seriously dating Bethel students to grow in their relationships.    This is has been hosted in the past by Bethel, but because of COVID, it has not happened in the last two years.

The retreat is facilitated by John Brown University in Arkansas. Bethel received a grant from them to host this retreat. They work, through this program, to cultivate healthy relationships for students and to help set them up for success. The retreat will help students with communication skills and conflict resolution skills.

Courtney Chapman, Wellness Program Coordinator, said “This program is to equip students with lifelong relationship skills.”

The speakers of the event are a married couple from Azusa Pacific University, Chris and Alissa Grace. They will host four sessions at this retreat.

Chapman said, “This retreat is an opportunity to enrich their relationship.”

The retreat is Feb. 25 and 26. It begins on Feb. 25 at 6 p.m. at Howard Park. The second day begins on Feb. 26 at 10 a.m. at Howard Park.

The couples to take part in this retreat also commit to a date night on March 25 from 6-9 p.m.. The couples will go bowling and reflect on and evaluate the content of the retreat. Gift cards will also be given out to those couples who attend this retreat.
