Mishawaka- Bethel University welcomed Robert Frost as a new figure in the athletic department, the Head Coach of the Women’s Volleyball team. He earned a Bachelor's Degree in Education and Youth Ministry from Moody Bible Institute in 1999 and a Masters in Sports Management from Cleveland State University.

Before coaching at Bethel, Frost coached at the University of Mary-Hardin-Baylor, from 2012 to 2018. He comes to Bethel with Crossroads League coaching experience, having served as an assistant coach for the Taylor University Trojans during the 2002 season. Frost worked as a volunteer assistant at NCAA Division I Cleveland State University from 2004 to 2006, then as a full-time NCAA Division I Bowling Green State University assistant from 2007 to 2011. Frost has a 171-55 career record as a head coach.

His love for the game and his personal experience as a player brought him to start coaching.

“I loved playing Men's volleyball in college. At first, our women's coach asked me to help coach and I liked the coaching side of the game,” Frost said. According to Frost, he started considering this position because recommended by his friend.

“When Tony Natali and I talked about Bethel and the job here, I felt it was a chance to coach and also talk about God with our athletes,” Frost said.

The Women’s Volleyball head coach, wants his players to work hard, and be positive and aggressive, and be willing to emphasize their spiritual path while focusing on their academic and athletic accomplishments. He wants them to focus also on the technique of the game.

“We try to work on good movement, jumping high, hitting the ball hard, playing the game at a good tempo, and ball control,” Frost said.

As head coach, Frost wants his players to focus not only on a particular practice or game but also on the process of getting better each day, with God as the center of ministry and spiritual growth.
